It is important for many reasons. Forget politics and being governed and ruled. We are not retarded, not children, perfectly capable of running our own communities collectively. We don't need to believe that we are so helpless or pathetic that we have to rely on a separate interest to look after us. We were trying to sort out a venue and had one lined up for the 26th - which then we had to cancel at the last minute. The catch 22 we're in is that we can't afford to hire a venue for the gig, and all the venues we can afford aren't legal enough to allow us to do a public event (which was the point of doing the publicity). Erk! We're pursuing this and will definitely let you know as soon as we've sorted it out. Many apologies to you all! Aargh! Really sorry.
